GreenPath Debt Solutions has been providing consumer credit counseling services and personal financial education since 1961. We are a not-for-profit Michigan corporation that offers customized and personalized budgets and financial action plans, bankruptcy counseling and education and housing delinquency, pre-purchase and reverse mortgage counseling. GreenPath is a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and is accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Family and Children’s Services. We are also one of ten participating agencies in the Hope Now Hotline for housing delinquency. We reach consumers through telephone and Internet via our Farmington Hills Call Centers and conduct face-to-face appointments through our 38 branch locations in 7 states.

WHAT YOU’LL DO


Bankruptcy Counselors receive incoming calls from clients to complete the bankruptcy counseling services that are required by Federal law prior to filing for bankruptcy and the personal finance/money management education required for discharge of debts. During our sessions, we discuss the cause of the client’s financial hardship, review, analyze and suggest changes to the household budget, discuss all the options available to resolve the financial situation and provide education in the areas of personal finance and money management while offering encouragement and support.

 

Requirements

WHO YOU ARE

·         Bachelor’s degree.

·         2-3 years of work experience, preferably in lending, banking or financial services.

·         Excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and computer skills.

·         Evening and weekend hours are required for these positions.
