Bankruptcy Paralegal

Job Description:

AmLaw 200 law firm seeks an experienced bankruptcy paralegal for the New York office.  Qualified candidates should have 2-4 years of experience as a bankruptcy paralegal at a large law firm.  Bachelor's degree preferred.

Work directly with bankruptcy partner to prepare various billing statements; draft and prepare legal documents; extensive case research plus much more.

Required Experience:

Creditor Representation

Debtor cases and claims administration

Chapter 11 and electronic court filings

Experience putting together schedules/statements/petitions/bills to court

UCC searches  

Skills:

Knowledge of conflicts searches and clearance

Accounting Skills with an emphasis on mathematics

MS Word and Excel

Must be willing to work overtime as needed
