The Power Uprate organization has been created to establish the process to increase the licensed Thermal power level at a commercial nuclear power plant [and] allowing the plant to generate more electricity. There are three types of Thermal Power Uprates 1. Stretch Power Uprate (SPU): Most the US nuclear Units have implemented 2. Measurement Uncertainty Recapture (MUR): Nearly 1/3 of the US reactors have implemented 3. Extended Power Uprate (EPU): Small percentage of the US reactors have implemented. Nearly all BWRs Some of these uprate conditions have already been implemented at some of the plants within the fleet. MUR and EPU will be pursued during this project at various sites.
