CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR PART TIME CANDIDATES with FLEXIBLE AVAILABILITY in FARIBAULT and SURROUNDING AREAS


Candidates must be enthusiastic and enjoy working with children who have developmental disabilities. On the job training is provided. Opportunities for professional growth are available.  Scheduled shifts may include nights and weekends.  


Candidates must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioners in one of the following ways:


1) have a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields and have 2000 hours experience working with children with developmental disabilities or emotional disturbances
2) have 6000 hours of experience working with children with developmental disabilities
3) have a master's or other graduate degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields
Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and have use of an automobile. Traveling from one client home to another is an essential part of this position.



We offer competitive wages, starting at $14.50 an hour with an increase after successful completion of core competencies. Differential pay of an additional $8/hr is given for hours worked after 6 pm on weekdays and for all hours worked on weekends.  Competitive benefits are available. QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Employees must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) and conform to all state and federal mandated qualifications.
  • Employees must pass all state and federally mandated criminal background checks.
  • Employees must meet all Minnesota Autism Center competencies, qualifications, training guidelines and application requirements as determined by the Executive Director.
  • Employees must be interested in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and possess the interpersonal skills to bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm into the therapy situation.
  • Employees must be able to develop an effective rapport with client and client care givers.
  • Employees must also be assertive while demonstrating behavior therapy in an isolated home environment.
  • Employees must have the ability to read written treatment directions, collect numeric data and summarize the results.
  • Employees must have strong writing skills to document treatment sessions.
  • Employees must be able to drive, possess a valid driver's license, continuously maintain appropriate auto insurance as mandated by the State of Minnesota and have use of an automobile to travel to work sites and to the office for training sessions and meetings.
  • Employees must be willing to work well with a team and comply with supervisory direction.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Employees who are Board Certified Associate Behavior Analysts or Board Certified Behavior Analysts are highly preferred.
