Job Description: Benefits Manager sought by a major heavy manufacturing company for its Jackson, MI operation. Responsible for all ARISA programs as to meeting government/legal requirements. Will support all corporate benefit programs, lead benefit projects, develop communication initiatives, and maintain compliance programs and reports. Job duties include:
- Lead Benefits Administration including: cost analysis, employee communications, benefits issue resolutions.
- Provide statistical analysis on benefit metrics and cost projections.
- Assure all benefit programs are legally compliant from an administrative perspective.
- Administer the Pension Plan, meeting all daily, quarterly, and annual administration requirements.
- Implement HIPAA privacy and security policies, and maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Participate in union contract negotiations regarding benefits.
- Manage COBRA administration of ARRA.
- Manage all legally required forms, tests, reports pertaining 5500’s, non-discrimination to the group benefit and 401-K plans.

Job Requirements:
- B.S. Degree or significant Benefits Management experience in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 10 years Benefits related experience.
- Proficient at managing all government and legal requirements for Benefit Plans.
- Computer expertise: Power Point, Word, HRIS system.
- Working knowledge of Ceridian Payroll System preferred.
