Freescale's Rewards Department is looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our team in Austin, TX.

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
•Consult in the development of employee benefits for Freescale
•Contribute to the budgeting, cost-effective strategic planning, forecasting, communications, special studies and analysis of programs and results to achieve annual long-term corporate goals and to ensure legal compliance.
•Analyze and make recommendations on the plan design and administration of all group benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and retirement plans
•Evaluate competitive practices and recommends revisions to ensure that programs are current with regard to trends, practices and costs
•Assist in the development of all benefits related communications and enrollment processes
•Ensure compliance with ERISA, state and federal regulations
•Assist in the analysis and benefit issues for acquisition and divestiture to provide a smooth transition and minimize the company’s liability

Specific Knowledge

•Requires 5 – 10 years experience in a benefits management role
•BA or BS required with an emphasis in Human Resources or Business Administration
•Full knowledge of technical aspects of U.S. benefits programs
•Excellent analytical and communication skills, both oral and written.
•Ability to work effectively with others
•Software experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
