Specific Job Summary
The Senior Analyst, Benefits Strategies, in support of Marriott’s Total Compensation strategy, will assist with the planning and development of Marriott’s benefit plans, evaluate plan alternatives and corresponding costs, implement plan changes, and assist in communication of plan changes. In addition, communicate plan alternatives to senior leaders and business partners.
Expected Contributions
· Provide ongoing analysis to evaluate benefit plan designs. Compile and maintain data to support and measure benefit plan strategies.
· Prepare cost analyses to demonstrate financial impact of plan design changes.
· Analyze plan variations. Develop and present recommendations for plan design concepts to achieve current and long range objectives.
· Lead project teams to evaluate potential plan vendors; manage implementation of plan changes.
· Respond to benefits benchmarking surveys and analyze results.
· Provide analysis and support as subject matter expert regarding the Paid Leave plan.
· Keep abreast of industry trends / regulatory issues in employee benefits and determine feasibility of incorporation into Marriott’s benefits package.
Candidate Profile
· Four to seven years corporate or consulting experience with analytical focus (Actuarial, Financial, etc.). Knowledge of benefit plans a plus.
· BS/BA required – Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred. MBA a plus.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel are essential.
· Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and project management skills.
· Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop productive business relationships.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to flourish in a team environment; ability to lead a team as well as work independently.
