The Business Intelligence Consulting team is part of Henkel Integrated Business Solutions and is responsible for designing and implementing global standard BI solutions with more than 7.500 users, 250TB of data and 42 global applications. Americas IBS Digital team is looking for a Big Data Developer to take a key role in the region to support the next-generation Digital Analytics strategy to further improve and digitalize decision making processes at Henkel.


 


 


What we offer


Support the technical data foundation of Henkel’s digital transformation
Define and implement the Henkel wide data integration strategy for the central data foundation covering all internal & external, structured & unstructured data requirements
Support Henkel BI data model with focus on integrating data from operational systems and other data sources up to reporting and analytical applications for the region
Implement and support an enterprise wide valid business logic and a data quality concept
Focus on performance, flexibility, security and scalability
Support the concept for data processing\: data extraction, integration and storage
Pro-actively identify opportunities for further improving the data foundation
Steer external partners during the implementation
Ensure smooth transition to maintenance teams
Work in a global and regional, multinational Analytics consulting team in a dynamic and challenging environment; interaction with agile project teams as well as technical and business stakeholders

Qualification:

Who we are looking for


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences/Information Systems or related field.
5+ years’ experience of IT platform implementation in a highly technical and analytical role.
Experience in Cloud technology and Big Data tools -- Hadoop, Hive, R, Python, Spark, Kafka, KINIME or a combination is required
3+ years of experience in developing and implementing large scale big data environments and workflows
Hands on Experience in relational data bases (MS SQL, Teradata, Oracle, DB2) and good knowledge of SQL
Programming skills in SQL, R, MDX, C#/Java/VB or VBA, Python is highly preferred
Knowledge of modern data warehousing concepts, data modelling and data management
Knowledge of BI and visualization tools e.g. Analysis Server, Tableau, Power BI
Experience in data integration of internal and external data sources
Work experience in IT project management as well as interest to work in an agile, international project environment.
Knowledge of business processes and data science principles
Capability to convince with own ideas based on excellent interaction and communication skills in an international environment.
