Description


Essential Job Functions:

  • Requesting records and information from Providers
  • Maintaining quality by following established policies and procedures


Communicating with English and Spanish-language customers.

Assists with Medical Record Clerk Workload as needed

Maintains a neat, organized work area

Attends required education and training programs

Complies with departmental policies and procedures

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualification


Basic Qualifications:

Associates Degree in any of the following disciplines:

Medical Records

Computer Science

Or, high school diploma or a G.E.D and two years of customer service, call center and/or medical records experience.

Other Qualifications
  • Fluent in speaking and understanding the Spanish language is Mandatory
  • Good computer and business solutions software skills; specifically MS Word and Excel
  • Strong organization skills, attention to details, and the ability to work independently
  • Good typing, keyboarding and proofreading skills
  • Ability to keep sensitive and confidential material private
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Ability to perform record imaging after training
  • Record filing and retrieval
  • Knowledge of medical record processing and procedures
