DISTRICT  SALES MANAGER FOR VIVARO 

 

 

Seeking hands-on, entrepreneurial, District Sales Manager who has a passion for DSD sales and the Hispanic community to lead the new and growing field sales team throughout the US. Beyond these characteristics we are seeking a professional who can positively motivate the District Sales Team and implement new business development strategies that dominate market share.  Not to be underestimated is providing the leadership necessary for the sales reps to deliver a level of customer service that perpetually exceeds customers’ expectations.  It is a huge plus if this individual is bilingual English/Spanish and is already familiar with the Hispanic community.

 

As the district expands, this manager will have the opportunity to recruit, hire, and develop new members of the sales team, as well as motivate, coach, and manage the current team.  Significant district travel is required, such as day trips and possible overnight to establish and then maintain key account relationships in all states. 

 

Ideal candidate should posses a college degree and have nearly 6-10 years of related experience in the areas of category management, consumer products, and DSD sales. Candidate will lead the development of their markets with a proven ability to manage, delegate, track performance and deliver upon Company objectives.  Plan on being fully hands-on and out in the field interacting on every level.  Also critical are a thorough understanding of market analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and balance sheet management.  A demonstrated track record of increasing leadership and responsibility along with having achieved positive business results is important. 

 

Key characteristics and demonstrated experience must include:

 

    • Sales management experience, preferred in DSD environment
    • Creative and strategic thinker
    • Ability to motivate and recognize the contributions of field sales team to establish a positive team culture. 
    • Exercise appropriate judgment and make sound decisions with limited supervision, particularly in on-site situations when timing and foresight are essential.
    • Strong mentoring, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Must demonstrate a strong commitment to business ethics and integrity.  Professional ethics should never be compromised for business advantage.
    • Excellent communication skills, polished demeanor
    • Ability to work under tight and sometimes changing deadlines
    • Encourage creativity to grow District Business.
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively multi-task
    • Willingness and flexibility to travel
    • Computer (MS) proficiency / expert in all programs
    • Strong sales planning for entire company
    • Oversee payroll and company sales commissions
    • Plan year end and quarterly meetings for all divisions
    • Inventory and product management
    • Will work with all company departments ongoing "wearing all the hats"
