A company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Office Clerk with 1 to 2 years work experience and prefer candidates who have experience working in IMPORT/EXPORT industry. This is temp to hire position and the interview will start ASAP. Maintains and/or creates file or record keeping systems, sorts, labels, files and retrieves documents, or other materials, copies and collates documents, sends faxes and performs similar office tasks, supports manager and department staff and acts as an assistant on various tasks, Receives calls, takes and repays messages, responds to requests for information,m provides information or directs caller to appropriate individual. Responsible for daily registration activities including but not limited to printing invoices, matching purchase orders as necessary, checking on payments and forwarding cash receipt to accounting department, mailing invoices, filing permanent copies, negotiates and arranges transport of goods with shipping or freight companies, tracks all incoming shipments for vendors and other third party clients to ensure that all products are received and ready for distribution to other branch office. Advises clients on transportation and payment methods. Checks import/export decumentation to determine cargo contents and classifies goods into different fee or tariff groups, utilizing a tariff coding system. They have excellent benefits including 401K and must speak, read and write Japanese.
