iContact was named one of the Best Places to Work in the Triangle by the Triangle Business Journal in 2007, 2008, and 2009. This position will be based in the Durham/Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina.

The company is seeking a Billing/Collections Specialist to assist the Billing Department in the day to day activities related to delinquent accounts.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers by telephone and written correspondence to bring resolution to unpaid accounts
• Maintain accurate records documenting collection efforts, facts pertinent to the transaction and payment status
• Acts as an escalation point within the department for past due accounts
• Understands business objectives and can apply knowledge to collections
• Special projects as assigned

Requirements

• General accounting and financial reporting as it applies to collections
• Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills, analytical and problem solving, and organization skills
• Minimum of 2-3 years of Collections experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be tactful with good people skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be detail-oriented with solid problem solving skills
