Position Summary:

The Billing Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoicing, claim submission, and posting of receipts. Some of the main areas of responsibility are as follows:

1. Generate invoices and process medical billing claims for Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance and Private Payers accurately and timely.      
2. Manage the collection of all invoices.  Investigate all claim denials and bring to resolution through professional and effective voice, email, fax, and telephone communications with internal and external customers.   
3. Post Payments on AR system accurately and within 5 days of deposit receipt.  Balance AR Deposit Logs and other standard AR spreadsheets. 
4. Generate a monthly Aging Report (Excel).  Report on the status of all outstanding claims to Branch management at a monthly meeting. 
5. Participate in special projects as part of the AR Team with a positive and willing attitude at all times.

 Qualifications:

1. AAS in Accounting or related Degree and/or Experience
2. Previous accounts receivable and/or billing experience in a health care environment (Hospital, Skilled Nursing, Hospice, Home Health, etc).
3. Knowledge of MS Office and Excel
4. Experience will Billing Software, AS400 experience is a plus
5. Home Health Care industry knowledge and experience is helpful
