A Growing company in the city is in need of a Legal Biller!
Duties are listed below:
1. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Perform a variety of tasks related to electronic billing implementation efforts in line with existing, new and future efforts as they relate to preparing client invoices, account reconciliation and related matters in connection with e-billing programs, processes and conversions. Coordinate efforts with staff, management, attorneys and clients in line with resolving issues as they may relate to currently established and newly implemented billing policies.
2. DUTIES:
Initial Set Up of E-Billing Clients
Work with Billing Attorney and client to ensure that our relationship is mutually beneficial, built upon the clear understanding that the quality is consistent with our NA Billing Guidelines, as well as the client’s billing guidelines.
Matter identification/reconciliation: provides Elite list to attorney for review and reconciliation with client matter list.
Timekeeper set-up: provides Elite list of rates to attorney for approval prior to sending to client and/or inputting on to e-billing site.
Coding and Tasks: review client billing guidelines to determine appropriate UTBMS codes. Follow-up with e-mail to all timekeepers as to the mandatory use of codes.
Train Billing Coordinator when clients transition to e-billing.
Prepare E-Billing Package for Billing Coordinator To Include:
Work with collections in the development of a tracking tool to report processed, aged e-bills
Reconcile Accounts Receivable with E-Billing sites to assure invoices are properly posted
Report unposted invoices to supervisor on a monthly basis
Monitor rejections on all e-billing sites
Maintain list and monitor the progress of the rejected and/or unposted invoices
Guide Billing Coordinators to resolve issues with rejections and unposted invoices
Liaise with Global E-Billing Implementation Team to improve processes
Liaise with Elite Help Team to improve processes
Conduct E-Billing Training Sessions for staff and attorneys
Attendance at E-Billing seminars and provide feedback to Billing Coordinators
3. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated knowlede of accounting and billing functions.
-Intermediate to advanced knowledge of financial reporting software and other proprietary e-billing and Firm systems.
-Ability to use web-based applications, database and other software necessary to complete projects and reports.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with a varied and diverse group of attorneys, staff and clients.
-Complete projects with a high-level of attention to detail.
-Ability to multi-task with competing deadlines and priorities.
-Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion on all work performed.
Requirements :
-5+ years of experience in Legal Billing
-extensive experience in E-billing
-Elite experience preferred, will look at CMS
-good communication skills, high attention to detail
