Job Description:
· Performs finance charge calculation process.
· Processes approved invoices in final mode and creates invoices to be sent to customer.
· Assists in the preparation and mailing of franchise billing packages.
· Assist in direct bill refunds weekly.
· Creates general ledger journal entries for invoices and submits to manager for approval.
· Maintains and updates Franchise Customer files with new invoices and invoice corrections.
· Creates or sets up financial accounting distribution codes for executed and opened franchise properties.
· Creates customer agreements on 12 sales categories in the Franchise Billing Module.
· Performs reconciliations of accounts on a monthly basis.
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
· College degree in accounting or finance.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
· 1-2 years experience of public accounting or 1 or 2 years billing experience
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Involves no responsibility or authority for the direction of others.
· Work consists of routine tasks, processes, or operations. The incumbent selects and applies several clearly prescribed, standard policies and procedures requiring little interpretation. Problems are solved by choosing between a few clear choices or discussing them with a supervisor.
· Makes routine decisions; work may occasionally involve non-standard assignments; however, the methodology is normally prescribed in detail by the immediate supervisor. There is limited opportunity for independent judgment.
· Responds to and handles unfamiliar situations with direct supervisory guidance.
· Has knowledge of office or operational procedures. Performs basic typing/word-processing, bookkeeping, checking of charts or records and posting of information to a database/spreadsheet, following instructions.
· Work tasks follow the same order and require little interpretation. Problems can be solved by choosing between a few clear choices which are clearly spelled-out through talking with the supervisor.
· Ideas contributed affect primarily this job. Opportunities for innovations are rare.
· Little or no need for the application of technology is required for this position.
· Not typically asked to participate on project teams.
· Requires regular contact within the department and periodic contacts with other departments, supplying or seeking information on non-specialized matters.
· Requires regular contact with customers, outside agencies and the general public, supplying or seeking information on non-specialized matters.
· Medium to advanced experience with Excel – able to create and use vlookups or pivot tables.
· Good communication skills
· Good written skills to communicate to other depts.
· Experience with PeopleSoft or JD Edwards a plus.
· Good grasp of basic accounting concepts.
