Responsibilities
The role will form part of the OS&D Design team. This team has a pivotal and transformational role in shaping the change agenda for the division in both driving winning business solutions and winning approaches to delivery. The role will provide analysis, and design business solutions using Lean and Six Sigma tools under the direction of the Design Manager and Team Lead with peer support as required.
The role will be expected to undertake specific detailed analysis tasks and design work-streams. The role will work closely with the strategy and change delivery functions optimising programme design and aligning with the overall vision and design principles. Key role deliverables: criteria/results by which success can be measured. Work with Design Manager, Team Lead and peers on the design of business solutions and programmes that will meet or exceed desired business outcomes. Typically, the role holder will be expected to design end to end solutions in collaboration with others. Specific design led projects as assigned that will enable the the change agenda across the Bank. Resolution of programme/project specific design issues.
Ensure solutions and programmes contribute to strategic goals. Assess change drivers and translate into viable change programmes. Establish, build and maintain winning relationships across the Group to facilitate achievement of strategic goals. Maximise the customer experience with appropriate cost/risk trade-offs. Ensure solutions are customer and end- user centred. Actively engage in CI initiatives and share CI Knowledge and best practices, across OS&D. Support CI in the project environment, and promote Lean principles, as appropriate, through use of CI tools e.g. Work-Out, and Work-Place Work Out (WPWO). Quantitative reasoning with the ability to understand and draw conclusions from raw statistical data. Previously demonstrated ability to apply innovation and exploration of non-traditional ideas in solving business problems. Familiar with Lean Six Sigma tools. Knowledge of of current business operating model. Understanding of the Banks products and services. Proficient user of desktop tools e.g. Powerpoint, Visio, etc. Demonstrated ability to work with wide range of stakeholder groups. Manage resources effectively on a virtual basis across OS&D relative to specific assignments
Qualifications
Experience - Candidates will normally have the following:
Bachelor degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
Demonstrated experience using Lean and/or Six Sigma tool set to successfully solve relevant
business problems. Black Belt or Green Belt Certification preferred
5 years of professional experience in management consulting, systems analysis, banking,
financial services, and/or project management
Good business analysis experience and skills. Notably:
Process engineering
Track record collaborating successfully with a wide range of stakeholders on a wide range of
business issues.
Good information search and data interpretation capability with demonstrable ability to spot
and point out anomalies, trends, opportunities and threats.
Able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Delivers verbal and written communications with clarity and impact
Other Significant Role Requirements:
Previous experience of working in a change led function.
Operational experience in one or more operating division in RBSG
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
