Boat Business/Sales Manager
About the Job
Position is responsible for all sales and finance activities for the Boat Department housed inside Bass Pro Shops. Sales duties include sourcing, hiring and training Sales staff, providing direction to Sales Associates to ensure achievement of sales goals; executing all sales promotion activities, keeping sales staff informed of all rebates and special pricing events, signing off on all sales quotes to ensure gross margin objectives are achieved, presenting a Showroom floor that is clean and properly staffed at all times and reporting sales vs. plan objectives to Boat Manager on a daily basis. Position will also be responsible for managing follow up assignments and activities as generated by web-based customer lead program. Finance duties include informing every customer of all financial products offered, closing and delivering customers, ensuring all sales are posted into the computer on a timely basis, maintaining relationships with local, regional and national lenders to increase finance penetration / income and ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved by exceeding customer expectations. Requirements include 3-5 years previous sales or business management experience, preferably within marine, auto, RV or motorcycle industries, data entry and outstanding communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and a passion for boating and the great outdoors.
