Position Description:


A District Field Supervisor (DSF) is an effective communicator that performs the duties of a merchandising supervisor.  This position leads the Retail Sales Merchandisers within a territory in their completion of timely merchandising priorities.  The position also participates in the development of associates into future management.



TYPE OF SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
The DFS is a decision making position that reports directly to the Regional District Manager.


 


JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES, including but not limited to the following:
• Ensure effective signing and account aesthetics are maintained in all district stores.
• Perform inventory management through the use of various reports and tools.
• Ensure proper category balancing in all stores.
• Control expenses and maximize company profit.
• Monitor databases, projects and inventories in order to provide sales priorities and direction for merchandisers.
• Assist in assessing current programs and promotions.
• Monitor and maintain territory to maximize company profit.
• Collaborate with client's management to sell future programs and promotions.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all Levy Home Entertainment Merchandisers associates, client's associates, and outside contacts.
• Monitor and respond to all communication from clients, associates, management, or the company on a timely manner.
• Recruit, interview and hire Retail Sales Merchandiser Trainees.
• Perform coaching and development of Retail Sales Merchandisers.
• Maintain accuracy on all work activities.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.


 


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to make required travel to include overnight stays.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or carry objects/products up to 35 lbs. and lift objects and product up to a maximum of 50 lbs, on occasion.
• Able to perform work while sitting, standing or walking.
• Must have fine manipulation of hands and/or fingers, as well as repetitive hand action.
• Ability to perform work that regularly consists of bending, twisting, squatting and climbing
• Fully functioning upper and lower body mobility


• College degree preferred.


• 1-3 years managing field merchandisers or in retail management.
