College Bookstore Manager


 


Ambassador College Bookstores, a national college bookstore retailer and premier career college bookstore outsourcer, seeks a store manager in Reseda, CA. The ideal candidate must be responsible, organized, exhibit exemplary customer service skills and be an effective communicator.


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Maintain high levels of customer service even during peak times of distribution
  • Accountable for the receiving and control of entire store inventory
  • Able to function in an environment that requires self motivation and autonomy
  • Manage customer issues, inquiries, refunds and any other special services required  
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are followed
  • Keep the working environment neat, clean, and orderly
  • Train new employees when needed
  • Required to work extended hours during school terms starts 

 


Preferred Experience: 



  • Knowledge of domestic shipping and receiving practices to include parcel and freight carriers
  • Advanced customer service experience in retail or related industries
  • At least 2 years management experience
  • Moderate to high level of verbal communication, listening, and problem solving skills
  • Keyboarding/data entry skills (35-50 wpm)
  • Moderate level of experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook
