If you’re looking for a fast-paced, challenging position in the non-profit industry, MMI may be the right place for you! · MMI currently has an opening for a Branch Counselor in our Abilene office. This position is responsible for establishing relationships with clients to derive individually tailored solutions to all facets of the client's debt and money management-related needs and issues through the use of education, debt repayment plans, possible structuring of tax payments, and/or referral to other assistance organizations. The primary job components will include: Responsible for assessing the client's financial situation through one-on-one in-person counseling sessions with potential clients. Develops individually tailored Debt Management Programs (DMP) to assist clients in repaying debt as needed. Explains the benefits of debt management programs to clients. Motivates clients to take the actions necessary to resolve their financial problems. · Provides personal attention to each client in a professional and responsible manner, while maintaining or exceeding monthly department goals for quality, service level, and time-to-resolution Job Requirements: The successful candidate will possess the following: · Detail and results oriented, systems operations and processes knowledge, high energy level, ability to make daily service decisions, proficiency in conflict resolutions · Background in finance, consumer credit or a counseling-related field, education. · Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and high volume workload.
