Guardian Building Products, one of the largest building products distribution networks in North America, and a subsidiary of Guardian Industries worldwide, has an immediate opening for an experienced BRANCH MANAGER. This position will be located in HAGERSTOWN, MD.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communicates daily with, warehouse managers to ensure that manufacturing and delivery schedules are met, and resolves any conflicts concerning the availability of personnel, materials, or equipment. Recommends, implements and monitors the annual operating budget and establishes necessary controls to meet financial objectives.
Provides guidance and direction to branch employee(s) assigned safety responsibilities for the purpose of complying with all Company, state and federal laws and regulations, and actively participates in branch safety meetings. Develops and maintains good customer relations to ensure long-term customer satisfaction. Maintains an employee relations program to ensure high morale and a productive and safety conscience workforce. Determines the staffing needs of the branch to ensure the ability to meet the current and future needs of customers and branch financial goals. Controls labor costs and expenditures within assigned area of responsibility. Utilizes regional human resources manager when dealing with sensitive or difficult employee relation issues - and for all staffing needs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

·Excellent listening, communications, organizational, planning and people skills.

·Minimum of 5 years of management/supervisory experience.

·Thorough understanding of profit and loss statements and other financial reports.

·Proven track record in operating a profitable branch, department or other business entity.

·Building products/construction industry background is preferred, but not mandatory.

·Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
