Position Description

Branch Sales Manager

Responsible for managing sales activities at the branch level; gaining new business, increasing sales in current accounts and overall account management functions within the branch sales territory.

Job Duties

  • Identify opportunities to develop and close on new profitable business;
  • Develop additional incremental sales within existing accounts;
  • Establish, maintain, and develop business, social, local community and civic relationships with customers and potential customers within branch sales territory;
  • Assist in the planning, management and execution of the branch sales programs including sales, collections and product management programs;
  • Maintain current knowledge of trends, markets, customers, competition and other factors which may impact the branch and or the company's sales;
  • Maintain customer sales records and profiles and assist and or perform regular business reviews with key branch customers;
  • Track and report branch sales revenues, sales volumes and costs of sales.  Maintain sales budgets, investigate and report on variances within the branch;
  • Develop sales forecasts, provide pricing strategies and product and customer rationalization;
  • Maintain or increase branch volumes and gross profits; reduce returns;
  • Execute credit policies within the branch including collections and account credit reviews;
  • Work with Branch Operations Manager to monitor and assist in improving service levels to achieve superior customer service and drive costs out of the system;
  • Develop and coach any subordinate Sales Representatives;
  • Assist and participate with special Company sales projects as required;
  • Assist in the implementation of Company Annual Sales Plan, sales initiatives, and sales campaigns and promotions;
  • Represent branch territory in required sales management review meetings including customer sales reviews, branch budget analysis, product segment reviews, and target territory business potentials.


Job Requirements:
  • 5 years selling experience in dairy industry or food and beverage industry;
  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills;
  • Self motivated, positive and team oriented
  • Personal computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software);
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills;
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills;
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred;
  • 4 year degree in marketing, business administration, management or a related field.
