BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS

This position is responsible for developing product level strategies and executing supporting tactical plans to deliver business objectives for assigned brand(s) in retail channel.  

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position.


QUALIFICATIONS

·         With direction from supervisor, manage mature product portfolio to deliver sales revenue and profit goals.

·         Respond to inquiries and information needs of the sales force.

·         Work with outside agencies to bring planned programs and projects to life, on time and within budget.

·         Coordinate new product, line extension and/or cost savings initiatives with all corporate personnel, including product development, purchasing, operations, legal, sales, accounting and customer service to the extent such activities pertain to products/brands assigned. 

·         Measure and evaluate effectiveness of promotional programs.

·         Work with agency to develop and implement social media strategy for assigned brands.

·         Maintain web-store for products and premiums for assigned brands, including adding and sourcing new items and providing pricing and descriptions for the website. 

·         Respond to inquiries and information needs of the sales force.

·         Provide sales reporting and analysis for assigned brands for Sr. Management and Sales.

·         Plan and manage trade show activities, including working in the booth as needed.

·         Respond to select consumer inquiries/complaints.

·         Keep tabs on competitive activity in the marketplace.

·         Keep superiors advised of any internal and external factors that may alter plan strategy or financial goal attainment.

Absolute Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or a closely related field.

·         3-5 years product/brand management experience with a CPG Food Company.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of consumer advertising and promotion strategies and tactics.

·         Excellent organization and time management skills.

·         Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment; work independently and in a team environment.

·         Excellent written and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.

·         Some travel will be required.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience analyzing IRI data.
  • Experience reinvigorating mature brands/products.
  • Social Media Marketing experience.
