| The following QAR qualities are highly desired. Must have at least 3 years of related experience. - Experience in earthwork, roadway construction, bridge construction and concrete work highly desirable. - Knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation standards highly desirable. - Knowledge of Miami-Dade Specifications for signalization and lighting construction. - Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. - The following qualification and training are highly desirable. - CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I - CTQP Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector (CTCI) Level II (all bridges) - CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II - CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II - CTQP Pile Driving Inspection - CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection - CTQP Final Estimates Level I and II - FDOT Intermediate MOT - Nuclear Radiation Safety - Nuclear Density Gage Training - QARs must be willing to perform shift work as required to match the contractor’s schedule. Deliverables: - Candidates are responsible for completion of daily site visits to the Tamiami Trail project site. - Completion of daily reports in RMS for each date per site. - Review of plans and specifications. - Review of elevations, geotechnical characteristics, soils, roadway construction, concrete bridge construction and ancillary work performed on the job site. - Ensure compliance with project contract. Independent follow-up inspections. - Maintain deficiency list in RMS and discuss weekly with the USACE Resident Engineer, USACE Project Engineer, and USACE Contractor. - Review and update submittal register weekly. Discuss with USACE Resident Engineer, USACE Project Engineer and USACE Contractor. - Participate in 3-phase inspection control meetings. - Review Daily Quality Control Reports and discuss any corrections required in the report to the Contractor. - Review and update the QC testing results weekly to ensure proper coordination/compliance with testing requirements in the field and confirm correct documentation in RMS. - Review and update the QA testing results weekly to ensure proper coordination/compliance with testing requirements in the field and confirm correct documentation in RMS. | |
