Description
Tasks: Provide quality assurance inspection services for the Tamiami Trail project in west Miami, Florida.

Position Needed:
Two (2) Senior Quality Assurance Representatives (QARs). Duration of QAR services is four (4) months. The following QAR qualities are highly desired.

The following QAR qualities are highly desired.

- Experience in earthwork, roadway construction, bridge construction and concrete work highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation standards highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Miami-Dade Specifications for signalization and lighting construction.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- The following qualification and training are highly desirable.
- CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
- CTQP Concrete Transportation Construction Inspector (CTCI) Level II (all bridges)
- CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I and Level II
- CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I and Level II
- CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
- CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
- CTQP Final Estimates Level I and II
- FDOT Intermediate MOT
- Nuclear Radiation Safety
- Nuclear Density Gage Training
- QARs must be willing to perform shift work as required to match the contractor’s schedule.

Physical Requirements

Anticipated start date of the Senior QARs is November 9, 2009. The period of temporary service for the Senior QARs is expected to be complete on or about March 1, 2010, 640 hr regular time, 320 hr overtime, per individual.

A minimum of 40 hours per week is required but the work schedule is anticipated to be 60-70 hours per week. The work day is anticipated to be 10.5 hours per day for 5 days a week (Monday through Friday) and 10 hours on Saturday. Work schedule Monday through Friday includes a ½ hour lunch period. No lunch period is required on Saturday. All hours in excess of 40 hours per week are considered overtime. All overtime shall be coordinated in advance with the Resident Engineer.

The construction contract allows for extended work schedules by the construction contractor. In the event of extended work schedules by the construction contractor, the Resident Engineer may altered the Senior QAR’s work schedules to include shift work.
