Bridge the Gap Between Design & Development!

As the Product Designer on this team you will bridge the gap between design and development to create high quality user interfaces and interactive experiences. The team's history of cross-company responsibility for working with other product teams in helping them understand and address a wide variety of educational needs. You will focus on a SharePoint based learning management system, as well as, other products and initiatives to support the team. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Work with design, usability, user assistance, program management, and development to understand products goals and priorities, user tasks, end-to-end flows, and product feature functionality.
  • Collaborate closely across disciplines. Close cross-discipline collaboration to ensure full integration of design specs with the ability to offer alternatives when technology constraints require design compromises.
  • Interpret designs and specifications into fully functional interactive experiences quickly and efficiently.

This is an estimated 3-4 month contract position through Volt Technical & Creative Communication - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Bothell, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.



Requirements:

Technologies you will need to bring to the table:

  • WPF/Silverlight (XAML)
  • .NET
  • XHTML/XML
  • CSS
  • DHTML/AJAX scripting

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Storyboards
  • Wireframes
  • Visual design guidelines and specifications
  • Product features

You will have:

  • Success working with user experience, usability, user assistance, program management, Developers, and fellow Designers
  • Demonstrated exceptional interaction design
  • Ability to generate design ideas
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and product design skills
