To add to our team of talented people, we are currently seeking a Baseband Engineer II located within our Gilbert, AZ Broadcast Center

Job Summary

Maintain transmitters, digital signals and broadcasting for satellite television. Responsible to minimize equipment and customer outages through precise application work on equipment.  Interacts with vendors and internal engineering departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitors and adjusts audio and video parameters to insure the best Dish network quality.
• Maintains Dish network quality, minimizes customer outages and communicate technical issues and solutions in daily shift reports and pass down-down meetings.
• Responsible for other key and networked systems, which include PPV file servers, automation, routers, a/v alarms (SAR) Analog/Digital converters and commercial insertion equipment.
• Installs, maintains and repairs to component level various types of baseband equipment: which include both analog and digital, composite, component, NTSC, PAL, AES, SDI, and HD signals.
• Tunes and trouble-shoots various types of satellite and fiber decoders. Calibrates equipment according to manufacturer specifications including routine VTR maintenance.
• Assists operations with training related to audio and video equipment use and their adjustments. Insures a clean and dust free environment in all technical areas.
• Maintains the integrity of the system wiring and documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

·         Undergraduate degree or equivalent from technical school; and 6-8 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
