This position is responsible for the lead role in the development, preparation and maintenance of annual budgets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Consult with management team to gather expenditure information from departments and programs to develop the initial budget.
· Maintain operating forecast of actual and planned expenditures throughout the course of the year.
· Analyze monthly department budgeting and general ledger reports to maintain expenditure controls.
· Adjust budget as required throughout year.
· Prepare organization level and department level variance reports.
· Prepare Department of Children & Families format budgets.
· Manage the process of submitting budget adjustment requests.
· Review actual expenditures to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
· Perform cost-benefits analyses of programs and services.
· Assist with month end closing processes.
