RESPONSIBILITIES

The Build Engineer will be responsible for coordinating the QA and Production release activities, defining the policies and procedures for the release management process and the source control system, maintaining the source control system and the QA Environments. The Build Engineer will also be responsible for the QA and Production builds to ensure the overall quality and stability of our working environments. The Build Engineer will also be responsible for participating with Testing and Load Testing activities, and Automating the Deployment Process for both QA and Production Deployments. 

• 3 – 5 years of Build Engineering and Change Management experience
• 3 – 5 years of experience in managing source control systems. This experience must include defining and implementing  policies and procedures for check-ins, branching and other activities related to the source control system and production deployments
• Experience in managing multiple branches to support parallel development and QA activities
• Expert knowledge of source control system versioning and labeling
• Must have hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Source Safe, and experience with  Team Foundation Server Source Control – Team Foundation Version Control (TFVC)
• 3 – 5 years of experience in managing release cycles
• Ability to deploy to several target platforms
• Experienced in automating the build and the release process
• Excellent  knowledge of Microsoft Platforms and Microsoft SQLServer
• Experienced in Building .Net Solutions using MS Build
• Must be experienced with the Testing Lifecycle and Testing Methodologies
• Must have the ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Must demonstrate excellent written and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and be a self starter
• Must be a strong team player and willing to adhere to aggressive work schedules
• Must possess the ability to  express complex technical and non-technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in written

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience with Windows Operating Systems including XP/2000/2003/2008
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Source Safe and Team Server Foundation Source Control
• Experience in Command Line Fluency in Windows
• Proficient with MS Build
• Experience with Building Client Server and Web Testing Environments
• Excellent Troubleshoot Skills with Microsoft WEB Applications
• Experience with Cruisecontrol or ANT a plus- framework for a continuous Build Process
• Strong understanding of Microsoft SQLServer
• Scripting experience a plus
• Experience with Visual Basic and .Net WEB Deployments
• Experience with building and installing MSI Services
• MS Operating Systems and Network setup and maintenance
• Experienced with Load Testing using various Tools, preferably Visual Studio Load Test, or other Performance Load Testing Tool such as Mercury Load Runner
• BA or BS in a related field (CS, EE, MIS) or equivalent experience
