Responsible for installation, diagnoses, and repair of environmental-comfort systems, utilizing knowledge of air conditioning theory, hydronic theory, and modern control techniques.
Duties:Responsible for installing and servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Uses a variety of hand tools and laptop computers, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program HVAC equipment.
Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses and repairs instruments and products at a customer’s location.
Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary.
Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies.
Maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear (maladjustment, mis-calibration, malfunction, and drift).
Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
Represents company by serving as a direct customer contact.
Supports HVAC Field Technicians by providing technical assistance and offering guidance.
Provides training and follow-up training at a customer’s site.
Utilizes project plans to prioritize and schedule work sequences.
Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.
Provides technical support to customers.
Qualifications:Skills Required:

Education and/or Experience Required:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in HVAC, Computer Science, or Computer Science related field and two to five years HVAC Journeyman experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and programming. Must have a minimum of two years experience working with Trane Summit systems to include programming Summit systems. Must have field experience in installation techniques and servicing/repairing BAS equipment. Tridium R2 and/or AX Certification a plus.
