Job Title: Building Engineer 


Job Summary: EMCOR Facilities Services has an immediate need for a Building Engineer in Fort Collins, CO. 






This unique opportunity places you in a critical support role for a semiconductor fabrication facility.  You will use your in-depth knowledge and multi-disciplinary skills in system level troubleshooting, building automation, instrumentation and controls and HVAC maintenance.   As part of the EMCOR team, you will work alongside other technical specialists who help keep Avago Technologies' primary wafer fab running.  You will be directly responsible for maintenance and operation of critical building systems. You'll have the opportunity to integrate with system and process engineers, manufacturing technicians, external suppliers and contractors as you improve your systems performance and reliability. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:






You will be responsible for minimizing interruptions to a 24 x 7 manufacturing operation through the use of engineering analysis, advanced maintenance methods and monitoring.  Capability to troubleshoot and perform rapid repair in the event of failure is essential.  Emphasis will be placed on improving system reliability, eliminating failure mechanisms and energy consumption.  You will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of instrumentation, controls and building automation.  You will assume a key role in developing team strategies, planning and implementing improvement projects and complex troubleshooting of a wide variety of critical facility systems.


Qualifications: 





 10 years related work experience. Must be well versed in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, complex maintenance troubleshooting and repair ability. Must have experience in analyzing system design issues and selecting and sizing of system components. Capable of solving building system level issues with minimal engineering direction. Must have in-depth proficiency and expertise in HVAC fan system equipment, pumped systems and maintenance. Must demonstrate skill in analytical/technical troubleshooting and equipment repair. Must have experience with building automation, instrumentation and controls.
