Senior Smart Grid Power Systems Consultant

We are searching for a Senior Smart Grid Power Systems Consultant to lead the technical direction and execution of smart grid systems for multiple clients in the Southeast and Midwest. We currently have several on-going and new projects that are in need of senior resources to provide guidance to Smart Grid implementations. This consultant will be considered an SME on Smart Grid technologies and trends for our clients.

Essential Responsibilities:

-Working with customers and other consultants to drive requirement of a common infrastructure platform
-Ensuring that the New Production Introductions efforts (NPI) are aligned with the overall Smart Grid strategy.
-Provide technical consulting, architecture development, and technical review services for internal, and external customers -Driving the implementation of the Common Technology platform for multiple clients.
-Translating system requirements defined by Services System Engineering to the execution team
-Participating in the development of a Smart Grid technology strategy
-Review and approve architecture design for the various sub-systems of the smart grid
-Address technical challenges, and project management issues in a timely, and effective manner

Requirements:

-Over 10 years of electric power engineering experience.

-Over 4 years of smart grid implementation and maintenance experience (either internal projects or consulting projects)

-Bachelors or Masters in Electric Power or Electrical Engineering.
