The Business Analyst on the Solutions Architecture Team would be working with Customers, Sales, IT teams, Product Management, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, Customer Integration Services, Technology Operations and other stakeholders/organizations, to define “solutions” and related business/functional requirements for clients on RR Donnelley Customer Facing Systems, primarily, but not exclusively CustomPoint. CustomPoint is RR Donnelley’s comprehensive, Enterprise, online Global Print Management platform that delivers RR Donnelley's services to the client users’ desktops. This position would work with various levels within the organization and Customer organization to review business processes, gather requirements, and determine the scope of application. Once the requirements are obtained, the Business Analyst would work with the relevant business owners including development teams to discuss high-level design or workflows, obtain estimates or assist in defining scope statements. In addition, the Solutions Architect BA is responsible for resolving questions and issues that arise during the application development life cycle and communicating the resolutions to both the users and the development team. This role would also include participation in or coordination of user acceptance testing, and an active role in authoring or editing system/feature documentation.
The Solutions Architect Business Analyst need to become a comprehensive Subject Matter Expert in CustomPoint, Variable Digital Print workflows and other Customer Facing Systems, and participate in on-site and remote discussions and demonstrations of the systems functions and capabilities. Some travel will be required.

- Respond to Request for Proposal, Request for Quote or Request for Information questions, supporting the Sales, Marketing and Business Development departments.
Non-Essential Job Functions include:
- Assist Manager in assessing solution quality and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the preparation of conceptual design documents for specific development efforts.
- Assist in defining or interpreting user interface standards, and platform usability.
- Assist Customer Integration Services and Technology Operations in preparing Implementation Plans.
Build and Foster relationships within the company including:Sales, Customer Integration Services (Account Implementations and Platform Migrations), Technology Operations (System Implementation and Support), IT Development Teams, Product Management, Business Development, Marketing, Operations, and more.
Build and Foster relationships outside the company including Client Sponsors, Client Users, and Third Party Service Providers of our Clients.
Required Experience
3-5 years of business analysis experience, or equivalent experience. A solid knowledge of software development lifecycle concepts. Experience in requirements gathering and problem solving based on individual solution requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Excellent teamwork skills required. Exposure in the print and fulfillment industry is desirable.
