Position Description: The Legal and Compliance Institutional Securities Trade Surveillance team requires an experienced Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years IT experience. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience with analyzing/understanding financial services data, writing detailed business requirements, creating functional specifications and helping steer projects through the project life cycle.
The candidate must have strong data analysis and SQL skills, a solid understanding of relational data models, as well as a familiarity with project management concepts. The ability to work collaboratively, good oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills are required. Multi-tasking and the ability to shift priorities throughout the project lifecycle as well as managing client relationships are also necessary.
Financial Industry experience and knowledge is desirable – preferably in trading, financial products, compliance, brokerage, or operations.
Skills Required: • Excellent Written and Oral communicate skills • Develop detailed functional requirements and use cases • Develop corresponding business process flows • Develop high level data and business rule requirements • Perform data analysis and assist in data mapping • Review and assist in developing test plans and test cases • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions • Build client relationship and manage expectations • An understanding of relational data models and how to traverse through a relational database
