Position Description:
Derivatives Project Group (DPG) is an Operations-based business analysis and project/programme management team who partner with Derivative Operations, IT, Legal, Finance and the Business Units to:

• define the future vision for Derivative Operations (processes, organizational models etc.)
Derivative Operations cover Trade Support, Settlement and Confirmations for derivative transactions of all major asset classes (equity, interest rates and credit underliers). The general focus for DPG is Derivative Operations; however the scope of the team's work often covers the full trade lifecycle: Sales, Trading, Risk Management, Operations and Finance (Business Unit Control, Regulatory Control etc.)
Derivative Operations is a global organisation and DPG supports it on a global basis – with the majority of projects having a global focus. DPG has teams in London, New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Sydney and is supported by an IT organisation that also has teams in multiple locations.

Junior Business Analyst for IRCC( interest rate, credit, currency) Project team.
The IRC team is a part of the Derivatives Project Group. The goal of DPG is to deliver industry leading solution for derivatives of all asset classes (equity, fixed income, commodities, FX, credit) .
The opportunity being offered here is to join as a junior business analyst. The immediate focus of the successful candidate will be:
• Getting involved with Credit Derivative projects to assist in business analysis and testing
• Analyse issues with the current applications and processes and identify solutions. If the solution requires a change to the system: write a requirements document / functional specification of the required change, work with IT to code the change, write test packs for testing the change, co-ordinate testing with Derivative Operations, co-ordinate the implementation of the code change and provide post-implementation support.
• Deliver projects to bring major change to the processes through significant enhancement of the current systems or through the delivery of the future state systems as part of a team of more senior business analysts. This will involve writing requirements documents, working with senior members of Derivative Operations and IT to design solutions, writing test plans, co-ordination and execution of testing, user training, co-ordination of the implementation of the code changes and providing post-implementation support.
As the candidate develops their knowledge of the business space and their business analysis skill set, the scope of their role will grow. In the medium term it is expected that the candidate will be able to operate with minimal supervision and will gain full ownership of significant pieces of business analysis (such as designing a future state process) and responsibility for the delivery of major projects.

Skills Required:
The successful candidate will have strong problem solving skills, an analytical mindset, good communication skills, some knowledge of derivative and the ambition to build a career in business analysis at Morgan Stanley.
