Business Analyst I / Project Leader -- Retail Rewards/Loyalty and POS:

Rewards / Loyalty Project Details:
· Seeking a solid Business Analyst with approximately 3-5 years of professional experience working within the Retail Industry.
· This Business Analyst should have strong analysis ability, experience gathering requirements and writing detailed specifications that might feed into software development and/or involve transactional systems, database structures, stored procedures, multiple sub-systems integrating with multiple third party entities, etc.
· Project Leadership skills will be required to perform technical design of project plans, execution, delivery, project meeting facilitation, organizing and communicating project status, authoring all documentation, etc.
· Ideal candidate will have professional experience working on a retail based customer rewards or loyalty project(s); knowledge of the execution process to redeem rewards and integration of the POS (Point of Sale System) is extremely desirable.
· With internal project guidance and a high level orientation, this position will ultimately hold responsibilities for assessing and analyzing the current processes in place, preferred systems and system options in order to determine current capabilities and develop requirements to move forward.
· Will be required to perform all necessary research, discovery and will ultimately author end to end documentation (as no documentation currently exists).
· Will be required to author projects for any/all 3rd party companies of interest
· Rewards/Loyalty Project will integrate between 3 internal teams consisting of the QA Lab, Application Development and IT Retail/Rewards/Marketing Area. Previous experience working as a Business Analyst within Application Development, QA and/or IT Marketing teams will be helpful to successfully facilitate, champion documentation and escalate issues as necessary.
· Will be responsible for writing requirements and authoring documents for all internal teams supported; documents will deal with retail store rewards program that loyalty points accruals as part of the program.
· Familiarity with Data warehousing Analytics; writing and running data reports is a plus (currently utilize Teradata)
· Experience with MS Project and/or Planview for managing project detail and timelines.
· Should be familiar with QA from a testing standpoint and authoring test cases when required.
· Currently utilize web services and VPN to communicate from preferred systems; FTP skills might be helpful
· Exposure to POS (Point of Sale) environments; will gather POS data to reside in the data warehouse, run query’s to verify tables, etc. Front end retail POS experience is highly desirable as well as backend data warehousing.
