Business Analyst III ( InRule Author) is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs. Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs. Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit. Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing. Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues. May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

  • Develop strong working relationships with development and business teams
  • Design, build, maintain, refine and improve business rules in a BRMS, based on requirements provided by business
  • Orchestrating the execution of the business rules in a BRMS
  • Analyze rulesets for completeness and consistency
  • Work in coordination with development to help create/enhance technical design
  • Partner with business and developers to define service contracts
  • Provide testing teams builds of sufficient quality, and with appropriate documentation and information, to enable testing of the rules
  • Debug the business rules to resolve defects logged during QA and UAT testing cycles
  • Support production incidents and work to resolve the issues in a timely manner
  • Update rule reports on the company intranet
  • Collaborate with the enterprise and application architects to deliver enterprise capabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
  • Healthcare experience is a plus
  • Experience working in Product Development
  • Experience using a BRMS or rule authoring tool, InRule experience is a plus
  • Strong skills in developing business rules using Rules, Decision Tables, Decision Trees and Rule Flows.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to multitask across several large initiatives or projects
