Description | The Senior Business Analyst works with the Project Manager and other IS staff delivering functional business analysis and requirements gathering services. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the development of documentation for existing and proposed business processes and functional specifications, as well as the facilitation of joint application design sessions with users and IS staff. Typically, the Senior Business Analyst is assigned to one or more business units of medium to large size and the project assignments are medium to large scale, moderately to highly complex, and/or moderately to highly visible. |
Qualifications | Must have at least six (6) years of experience as a Business Analyst or equivalent. A minimum of four (4) years of full life cycle experience with both custom development and packaged application deployment, including experience working within a formal development methodology is required. Knowledge of clients business practices and/or industry is preferred. Must have a full understanding of project management processes and steps. Knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle, specifically requirements gathering and documentation, is desired. Proven analytical ability related to analysis of functional business processes. Must have exceptional verbal and written communications skills. Must be highly organized and detail oriented. A Bachelor's degree in Business (or Management), Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred. Experience in the cable industry is also preferred.
