The primary responsibility of the Business Analyst is to track, report, and analyze all marketing and operational activities including: online marketing, customer retention, direct marketing, telemarketing campaigns, promotions, web stats, and sales and customer data. Makes strategic recommendations to improve efficiencies based on analysis. The Business Analyst will be required to publish regular reports on business metrics as defined by the channel business owners and help in developing and monitoring partner commission reports.  He/she will also deliver ad/hoc reports as requested. This position requires the knowledge, abilities and skills to effectively compile, track, and analyze data using web based analytic and tracking tools, MS SQL, MS Excel, and MS Access.



Job Responsibilities:



  • Develop business processes to support the analysis and reporting of strategic direct-to-consumer initiatives.
  • Help to identify online marketing opportunities through data research and analysis.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and distributing standardized reports, campaign performance reports, as well as adhoc management requests.
  • Report on online advertising, email, and customer relationship management activity.
  • Report on all direct response, in-bound and out-bound telemarketing campaigns and related offline marketing activity.
  • Set up and manage queries to the customer database.
  • Assist with data integration and cleansing of marketing database to ensure accuracy.
  • Develop data mining techniques to analyze and segment client database on metrics such as purchase frequency, sales volume, product usage, customer lifetime value, and other KPIs.
  • Use database segments to create target audiences for specific sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Help create and monitor marketing partner and affiliate commission reports.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology or related field
  • 2-4 years business analysis experience
  • Advanced knowledge of MS SQL, Excel and Access
  • Quantitative background with solid understanding of databases
  • Experience with web analytics tools and creating attribution models for online advertising
  • Ability to work effectively on concurrent, multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to work independently to manage projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to build interdepartmental relationships
