Business Analyst
Our client is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst. The overall responsibilities are to maintain and improve the functionality of the company’s ERP system and help achieve the company’s goal of more efficient and automated financial systems. An individual with a combined accounting and technology background would be ideally suited for this position. A strong history of working with multiple modules of a major ERP will be needed.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and provide resolution for 1st and 2nd level issues
Work closely with system users to analyze their desired outcomes
Develop ad hoc queries/scripts using SQL
Develop ad hoc reports using Crystal Reports, Excel and other tools
Develop and present basic end user training programs
Perform routine data imports/exports for various financial applications
Work with Database Administrator to maintain databases
Work with IT Manager to co-ordinate upgrades and perform testing
Work with IT Manager to perform financial process evaluation & re-engineering
Account and security administration of ERP related systems.
Requirements:
3+years accounting experience
Expert knowledge of Crystal Reports is a requirement
Knowledge of SQL scripts is mandatory
Experience with corporate environment SOX requirements a plus
Proven track record in implementing and supporting ERP systems
Knowledge of Oracle databases is preferred; other financial system experience may substitute
Training experience is an asset
Must be well organized with the ability to prioritize
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Positive, customer-oriented attitude
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Strong documentation skills
Strong PC skills (Word, Excel, etc)
An accounting degree/designation is a definite asset
