Business Analyst

The purpose of this position is to lead the development and analysis of business requirements and functional specifications supporting the Information Technology Application strategies for the product development business areas. 

-Facilitate the evaluation, recommendation, business readiness and implementation of best practice software technology solutions, and fulfill a project management role as needed
-Develop and document business processes and requirements for the development of new or enhanced systems
-Partners with business to align technology solutions with business strategies
-Demonstrates an informed knowledge of the product development area to resolve problems on an ongoing basis.
-Partner with other resources to deliver business solutions in a fast-paced environment as a primary liaison between IT and a functional business area
-Provide detailed knowledge of business processes and industry best practices related to business analysis, process design and requirements gathering
-Participates in planning sessions with clients to implement process improvement within an assigned client area
-Procures technical assistance to help in problem resolution
-Develops user test cases and validates test results during user acceptance testing
-Investigates, resolves and escalates problems. Analyzes metrics to ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree (7+ years of combined college education and work experience may be substituted for a degree)
-Minimum 5 years of experience as a business analyst or consultant

-Strong IT project methodology experience in a complex business environment
-Demonstrated ability to work in a real time, fast paced environment
-Strong problem solver with the proven ability to develop complex business process models and technical requirement documentation
-Demonstrated experience using structured modeling and flow techniques to articulate business requirements
-Excellent facilitation skills
-Proven skills in developing project proposals and business cases in support of system initiatives
-Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical partners at all levels within the organization
-Strong analytical, planning and organizational abilities
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
