Under minimal supervision and direction, this position is responsible for gathering and documenting requirements and participating in the design, development and improvement of software applications used by internal users and external customers.
Primary duties include the following:
- Working with the business lines and supporting departments to analyze business processes and develop technical solutions which enable the user to satisfy business objectives.
- Introducing new technology or improvements to existing technology based on personal experience and user feedback.
- Conduct requirements gathering meetings, document user business requirements, transition requirements to the development staff, assists with requirements change control and risk identification.
- Interface frequently with software developers, business lines, including middle management to ensure quality and timeliness. Interaction with external customers will be required occasionally.
- Have a clear understanding of the processes the applications are supporting, and how these processes tie together.
- Understanding how changes affect functional area as well as system as a whole.
- Acting as technical liaison. Ability to translate detailed technical information into common language understandable by all parties.
- Using tools to create, track and support changes.
- Testing beta releases and production releases to ensure quality products and that requirements have been met.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Business Development 35 % identifying new business and enhancing existing systems per client and industry needs.
Project Management 20 % working with the business unit to understand requirements, managing the completion of work to meet deadlines, testing and evaluating the results to ensure accurate completion
System Analysis 20 % working with internal systems and the users of internal systems to identify how they currently work, how they should work, what is not working, etc.
Testing 15 % testing technological applications for functionality and usability
Other Projects 10 % other projects as identified by Senior Management
