Business Analyst, Project Management Office

SUMMARY

 

The Business Analyst, Project Management Office will, under the direction of the Director, PMO, gather and evaluate project plans & business intelligence as it relates to key global projects, etc. for the purpose of coordination, on an enterprise level of multiple, overlapping projects.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·        Perform critical evaluations of Multi-generation project plans and business intelligence gathered from multiple projects

·        Build and maintain program management office (PMO) dashboard

·        Create and distribute weekly project portfolio status reports (PPSRs)

·        Proactively communicate and collaborate with members of targeted GIL strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives

·        Solicit requirements from project leads and conduct detailed scenario analysis to determine appropriate manpower strategies

·        Engage project team members and project-related subject matter experts to assist in the resolution of task-level project issues

·        Support, as needed, project-specific data quality and integrity efforts

·        Provide, as needed, just-in-time project management and continuous improvement methodology training



QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • 3 years of experience in project analysis or related field required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business related field or equivalent experience required
  • Experience analyzing transitional projects such as outsourcing, off-shoring, centralization, implementation of COEs, etc. preferred
  • Global experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Familiarity with the freight forwarding/logistics industry highly preferred
