Our client, a major international bank with offices in Jersey City is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager AVP to join their Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have superior knowledge of banking operations and processes and project management experience. This individual will support the trade finance, money transfers, loans and capital markets operations divisions.
This individual must have experience with funds transfer and reconciliations systems by vendors such as Fundtech, Logica or Sungard.
Job Description:
- Support the lead business analyst and project manager in the execution of process enhancement projects for the various operations business lines
- Analyze workflow and make suggestions for process improvements
- Design systems by performing analysis and determine operations inefficiencies and risks
- Ensure project compliance and update project database
- Execute user acceptance testing of systems
- Communicate with internal and external IT teams to carry out projects accordingly and in a timely fashion
- Prepare project documentation – status reports
- Train end users
Job Requirements:
- 4 + years of business analysis / project management experience at an investment / commercial bank.
- Strong knowledge of investment / commercial banking operations processes
- Ability to recognize system inefficiencies and development workflow enhancements
- Must have experience working with Fundtech (Global Payment Plus), Logica (BESS Payment) or Sungard (Intellisuite)
- Superior communication skills – oral and written
- Bachelor’s degree is required
