Position Description: Job Description
This position is responsible for working with business partners, vendors, producers, creative team members and IT to develop and support software applications used within EDMC to support Student and Faculty web applications, services and content. The responsibilities include: requirements gathering, business analysis, process reengineering, support, prioritization of issues, testing, documentation, competitive analysis/research and training.
Key Job Elements
• Gather business requirements and create specification documentation supporting the creation and update of web applications • Preparation of documentation for internal and external users • Analyze web usage and software data, create reports as directed • Develop and execute system integration and user acceptance test plans • Project coordination and communication between business and technical teams to ensure successful implementation of web projects • Identify opportunities to integrate student needs and business work flow to improve efficiency • Work to thoroughly understand the potential of the internet to improve student and internal user experience
Position Requirements: Requirements
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Technical/web/business/marketing degree a plus. • Minimum of 2 years professional experience with increasing responsibility. Business system analysis experience preferred. Experience working with a web solutions team a plus. • Experience with student or other online services processes activities delivered through a web environment a plus. • Must be detail oriented with strong research, organization and analytical skills. • An understanding of web analytics, web analytics software, information architecture and web usability each a major plus. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio. • Excellent and diverse communication skills to ensure the ability to communicate, effectively with Web Strategies team, collaborative teams with whom we interact, and our Executive Committee. • Customer service-oriented individual who is a self-starter with a can-do attitude. • Experience working with geographically distributed teams helpful. • Periodic flexibility with hours required. May require occasional overnight travel.
