Our client, a leading financial institution located in Charlotte, NC, is looking for a Business / Data Analyst for a major merger-related conversion effort. This individual will drive the process of translating business needs into business and technical requirements. Responsibilities will include data mapping, data transformation and performing all testing and issue resolution activities throughout the project life cycle. In addition, the Business Analyst will act as a liaison between business units, operations units and the programming staff.
The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of basic project management concepts. She/he must also be able to immediately demonstrate strong SQL and technical skills, and be able to read moderately complex SQL code in functions and procedures in both Oracle and Teradata environments.
Required Skills
- 5 to 7 years experience of hands-on business analysis experience
- Requirements gathering
- SDLC
- Financial services industry experience
- Investment banking (primary markets/capital markets) preferred
- MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project & Visio
- Experience with RDBMS desired
- Able to write SQL queries (desired)
- Able to read Java/J2EE code (desired)
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
