Business Developer, Public Health and Medical Preparedness

MPRI, an L-3 Services Division, is seeking a Business Developer for its Public Health and Medical Preparedness (PH&MP) Business Sector.  Primary duty will be business opportunity identification and development in the US and international markets. Specific responsibilities include: Assessing viability of new business opportunities; Ensuring alignment with strategic plan and core competencies; Reviewing initial financial analysis; Evaluating resource and investment requirements; Assessing market opportunities; Identifying market sectors and target customers; Defining criteria for establishing priorities for new business opportunities; developing teaming partnerships; Identifying target customer needs, hot button issues and prepare action plan; Performing competitive intelligence; Understanding customer requirements; and cultivating initial position with customers.  Other responsibilities include assisting the PH&MP business center with capture planning and proposal development of white papers, task orders and bids.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in Federal business development or a minimum of 10 years work experience in public health (preferably at the Federal US Governerment level). Bachelors Degree required. Famililiarity in developing or managing proposals to Federal requirements and/or proposals in the public health sector is desired. Customer relations experience desired. Must have excellent interpersonal communication and writing skills, and ability to think strategically in developing future opportunities. A security clearance is not required.  Must be a US citizen with a valid US Tourist Passport and be willing to travel.
