Business Development Analyst Prin

Description:
Position is responsible for identifying, developing, and qualifying New business inititatives supporting all MFC lines of business. This is an entrepreneur position responsible for developing business in markets, or with customers (PM/PEO), not currently served by LM MFC to a maturity level commensurate with a pursue decision. Pending the capabilities of the the person in this position and the needs of the company, this person should be capable of becoming the campaign/capture manager for this business opportunity set and/or be the campaign team BD lead through initial contract award. Daily activities include: customer contact (meetings, calls, emails, etc.), business opportunity identification, opportunity qualification, competitive position assessment, business capture strategy development, initial capture resource planning, and tactical business capture planning and execution. The successful candidate will work effectively throughout the Lockheed Martin organization, both vertically and horizontally, and will develop effective working relationships with all customers. Perform above with a mix of long term opportunity/market developments and shorter term opportuniyt/market assessments & recommendations. Required skills for this position will include: effective customer and partner relationship building, strategy development, program/capture management, strong presentation skills, good oral and written communications skills, independent worker, and demonstrated leader. must have prior experience in identifying customer requirements, developing new business strategies & execution plans, and a proven record or growing the business.

A Top-Secret Security Clearance with special agency access preferred.

Qualifications:
Required skills for this position will include effective customer & partner relationship building, strategy development, program/capture management, strong presentation skills, good oral and written communications skills, independent worker, and demonstrated leader. Must have demonstrated skills in identifying customer requirements, working with customers & partners to shape requirements, developing new business strategies & execution plans, and a proven record or growing/winning business.
This position also requires the following:
oBroad industry experience in Defense, other Federal Agencies, and/or other government related markets.
oAble to establish Customer and Industry Relationships to further explore potential partners to create new capabilities and increase market share in order to enter New Markets-or White Space opportunities.
oAble to see and understand emerging markets and the needs of customers derived from capability gap analysis and cost effective solutions.
oStrategic thinking - Understands "big picture" analysis both from the technological and business case perspectives for new Market Initiatives.
oWorking knowledge of DoD, Agency, and/or other significant customer acquisition process. For DOD the example is the Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System (JCIDS) process.
oExcellent verbal and written skills necessary to clearly articulate market entry strategies both internal and external to the organization
oTeam player - Effective at organizing and motivating a diverse set of individuals to act as "one" in the pursuit of common new business objectives
