Business Development Associate

With corporate offices in Glastonbury, CT and San Diego, CA, The National Groups offer a broad spectrum of services in REO disposition, Loss Mitigation, Short Sales, Valuations, Escrow and Title, and Real Estate brokerage.  


The primary mission of the Business Development associate is to deliver new sales and business opportunities and procure new customer segments by partnering with our Default Servicing/Special Servicing business channel leaders to develop and present outsourcing solutions and proposals. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of, and experience in, the servicing, special servicing and default servicing sector of the mortgage backed securities market. TNG is looking to employ that special individual that has deep-rooted client contacts with our strategic business lines such as GSE’s, Servicers, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Trusts and Private investors.


Job Purpose:



1.  Expand TNG footprint in its servicing contracts though securing new business in any or all 5 of its existing product lines


 


2. Expand current relationships either through expansion to additional business lines or expansion of existing business lines. 


 


3. Develop relationships with referral sources to identify prospects for new business opportunities.


 


4. Attain a thorough understanding of all TNG business product lines for accurate representation to prospective clients.  


 


5. Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.


 


6. Interact and direct on a project level our Public Relations Initiatives with our PR Firm.


 


Duties:


* Initiates sales process by building external client relationships; evaluating potential and possible need for TNG services; scheduling client appointments.


* Identifies or proposes new business relationships by contacting potential partners; for the purpose of discovering and exploring additional TNG business opportunities.


* Interact and manage our Public Relations initiatives with our outsourced PR Firm, create byline articles and press releases.


* Develops sales by making initial contact, presentation and explanation of product and service enhancements and additions; introducing new products and services.


* Establish an effective follow up strategy after initial new business contact.


* Conduct regularly scheduled management meetings to evaluate and monitor  progress of new business relationships.


*  Oversee development of marketing materials, brochures and presentations that accurately represent the  components of all TNG business channels to effectively communicate the organizations mission and philosophy to potential  new business entities.


* Contribute information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying Client needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions, needs and desires.


* Responsible for business development organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to functional strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.


* Directing and planning specific conferences that support our business lines and objectives including booth attendance, pre marketing, event planning, PR, follow up before, during and after the event.with our business contacts and creating and ensuring that these events are in line with yearly budget.


* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
