Job Description
Infosys is looking for a Business Development Manager with strong sales experience of selling to banks in North America for sales positions in Finacle IBU as Business Development Manager. The person(s) selected will be part of the lead team spearheading Infosys’ efforts to build and grow business for North American market with exclusive focus on FINACLE and will have an opportunity to work in a highly entrepreneurial work environment that is challenging, exciting and rewarding. The person of course will be responsible for driving revenue target for his/her region.
BUSINESS CASE:
Infosys is the top 3 fastest growing vendors in the Financial Services (FS) industry and is rated as the top six vendors to the FS industry. North American banks have been generally lagging the adoption of newer, agile core banking infrastructure and the imperatives of the market economics today demand that banks become more agile and robust in there approach to markets and there operations. Infosys views the market for Finacle in North America to be highly lucrative and success in this market a must to enable Infosys to maintain its leadership in the banking products space. As a part of the lead team, the role will also involve an active participation and contribution in the entire Go-To-Market strategy and planning process.
Responsibilities:
- The BDM’s primary responsibility is to secure new business and generate revenues from his territory
- He/she will implement the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for a large region or named accounts in North America for Finacle, leverage alliances to explore business, identifying target accounts, generate prospect funnel, handle the sales cycle, map accounts and close business.
- BDM will demonstrate thought leadership by proactively understanding the business drivers in the industry and client pain areas and recommending innovative solutions based on our broad range of products.
- For this, BDM will research and understand clients’ business problems in depth, by collaborating with pre-sales consulting team.
- BDM will also work with Marketing Manager(s) to evolve and implement the optimum marketing strategy in the market.
- Further, BDM will leverage the experience and knowledge base of Infosys as well as personal knowledge of business practices at other organizations in similar space.
- BDM will manage the sale process for all new business opportunities in the assigned geography / accounts.
Requirements
- Proven track record of 7 - 8 years (up to 10 years, with a minimum of last 2-3 years in North America) in sales of banking software products or solutions or consulting services to banks and financial services firms.
- Experience in selling banking software products for competing companies is highly preferred.
