Our client, one of the region’s most sought after construction companies, is looking for someone to join their team as a Business Development Manager in Dallas.  This person will be responsible for establishing new business relationships that lead to profitable ventures.

Should be a detail oriented self-starter with outstanding relationship, management, and organizational skills.  The Business Development Manager will be a critical part of the executive strategic planning team, developing short and long term regional goals and setting the benchmarks for the organization to meet those goals.

This person might be on the architecture side right now, which is fine.  Your understanding of the overall process is invaluable to what our client does.  Architects are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will be a known and trusted partner with clients both internal and external to the organization, and will have a proven business development track record in the region, a strong network and understand the value of maintaining ongoing client relationships after project start-up.  This person should be from this area and enjoy working in this market.  Regional and occasional outside region travel will be required.

A minimum of 8 years’ experience in increasing levels of responsibility with proven success in marketing or business development in the Dallas marketplace.  A strong sales background, particularly in construction, design/build, construction management, or program management is helpful.  This candidate must be an excellent communicator with the ability to produce highly professional proposals and presentations.  Maintaining appropriate professional memberships and participate in organizations and events is essential.

The candidate should be a B.S. or M.S. graduate (Architecture, Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred).
